I’m Shashank Joshi, a C++ engineer with 5 years of experience building performance-sensitive systems.

I like working close to the metal — data structures, cache behaviour, lock-free concurrency, and squeezing throughput out of multi-core machines. The posts on this site walk through projects I’ve built from scratch and the decisions behind them. A good place to start is VortexKV, a multithreaded key-value store I built that outperforms Dragonfly on throughput.
